I am trying to install FTX Global Base (v130) as I was doing fresh install of FSX.Could anyone help me please. Never had this problem before and FSX has installed fine. Thank you Kevin Munro. dickb Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Is this W7 and do you have UAC (User Account Control) turned on ? If so, I think turning UAC off will allow access. Others may be able to confirm. It's generally recommended to instal FSX into its own folder (e.g. C:\FSX) rather than C:\Program Files(x86) in W7 for exactly this sort of reason. dickb Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 It was something that came in with W7, where UAC is very intrusive. I run with it permanently disabled. I hope this fixes your problem !
