dragonsainmon
Hi, Just wondering which programs to use to make airports and surrounding scenery? There are a lot out there and I am wondering which ones are user friendly. Eugene
Vlad Maly
Hi Eugene: I would start right here: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/forum/17-community-scenery-design-workshop/ Other than that: 1. decent digital camera to take hundreds of photos at the airport you want to design - you may have one 2. Gimp (or Photoshop) to create the textures - free 3. SBuilder X to create base for the airport - free 4. ADE to create the AFCAD file - free 4a. GMAX to make 3d objects (the crappiest program of them all) - free 5. Instant Scenery to place the objects - about $35 6. Hundreds of hours reading tips and suggestions on the internet - free 7. Another countless hours at the computer to get it right - free 8. patience and understanding from the family - free? If you're married, I don't think so! I can tell you that none of the programs mentioned above are very user friendly. See the hours spent on the internet and Youtube videos... Good luck! RODI
@ Vlad Maly 100 % confirm. @ Eugene It's a hard job and can make you (and your partner/kids/family) nervous, because you have to spent many time and patience, just in a small scenery.
