flybius
Greetings, I have FTX and VECTOR installed into my FSX. I would like to install these into my P3Dv2. My understanding is that there was once a tool that would simply repoint the FSX install to P3Dv1 (sparing precious SSD space) I have read that this migration tool has since gone the way of the Dodo, and that the triple installer has emerged in it's place. My question is: Does the triple installer recognize the previous FSX install and will it simply adjust P3Dv2 to point to the files in FSX or do I need to do a full install of FTX and VECTOR into P3Dv2 (duplicating the storage space consumed by these files)? Many thanks in advance!
Alex Goff
The triple installers will install independent copies into each simulator. This is necessary as P3Dv2 diverges from FSX and for organizational reasons. So if you install an airport into FSX and Prepar3Dv2 there will be two separate copies, rather than one linked install. flybius
Thanks Alex. I appreciate the help! I was afraid this was the case, but I figured it was worth a query to the orbx literati.
