spirit_66
To whom it may concern. I got this error in the logfile. error=Texture ORBX_11S_RWY_ASPHALT.DDS failed to load (FE_REQUEST_STATUS==13) Thanks Spirit
Misha Cajic
Hi Spirit, This has been reported before and is in fact not an error, it's part of the design. The most practical solution is simply to turn off ContentErrorLog Cheers
spirit_66
Hi Spirit, This has been reported before and is in fact not an error, it's part of the design. Cheers Hi Misha, well, I thought more about this message error=Taxiway path with 0 width as a design result and LM may refine the process. But a missing DDS-file is from my understanding a syntax error and should be fixed. I worked nearly 4 decades as a software developer and our 1st aim was always to get rid of syntax errors before we started testing. Your approach to tell me that this is a part of the design reminds me on our "It's a feature - not a bug" joke about failures. Anyway, it's your decision how to handle errors and I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the response Spirit
Misha Cajic
Hi Spirit, The missing DDS file does not in fact belong to any model, so it doesn't affect the scenery in any way, it is a ghost texture left behind by one of the models during the development process which was removed to save space, putting it back in wouldn't make a difference to anything. In any case, to eliminate the error I will include the texture into the hotfix installer for the P3D runway crashes.
spirit_66
Hi Misha, it's up to you as I already said and you're right that there's obviously nothing missed at the scenery. Thanks again Spirit
