Vlad Maly
Did you try to reload the flight? I mean - hit "P" and then reload. That should fix the floating houses, FSX specialty. Perhaps install latest library as well.
Stofvel
Thanks Vlad. I read some other posts of yours regarding graphic settings - also helpful. Without trying to be obtuse I am not sure at what point I should hit "P" - and what does this do in relation to reloading a flight. I am assuming this is in reference to my vfr flight plan - San Bernadino to LAX. If you could elaborate a little. Again many thanks in advance for your help. Alex Goff
Vlad is referring to the Scenery Library, you can reload the Scenery Library by pausing the sim, opening up the top menu bar, and selecting World | Scenery Library. Once that is opened, hit "OK" and it will refresh the library. That should ground any floating houses.
Stofvel
Thanks Alex, I will give it a try next FSX flight. Will this have to be done every time I fly (within this region) or once per floating house scenario within each region this anomaly is encountered. Much appreciated. Vlad Maly
Thanks Alex! I should have elaborated on this more... Stofvel - I think this anomaly just happens now and then in FSX. I don't think it is region related though...
Stofvel
I tested this last night and your solution resolved the problem. I had no idea this anomaly was resolvable within FSX. Thanks Vlad and Alex for your help. I did have another crash in FSX within the LAX / San Bernadino, California region. This is the only area FSX seems to screw-up in, sporadically. I generally fly around the CNL3 and CYOW area (my stomping grounds) and south through the old KLKP mountain range all of which have infinitely fewer buildings etc, but I do fly Geneva/Milan/Venice/Florence/Rome/Pompeii without issue. This is not a pressing issue currently. Again thanks.
