Big doubts about was installation of FTXG correct or not

Hello all,

I have a big doubts about was installation of FTX Global and Vector successfully or not. After updating to Prepar3d from 2.1 to 2.2 I decided to make a full reinstall of sim with all addons that I have because of an autogen problem. Autogen problem seems to be a bug of new 2.2. And my problem here is about FTX Global. It is a little bit hard to explain, so I hope my screens will give more info. On some screens I didn't see FTX Global textures at all.

So, I already made a full reinstall, including following steps :

1. Uninstalled FTX Global using uninstaller at C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\ORBX\Scripts, uninstalled AXE.

2. Removed all p3d conf folders (in Roaming, ProgramData, etc.)

3. Uninstalled Prepar3d v2 using uninstaller and manually removed that folder at C:\Program Files (x86).

4. Installed Prepar3d v2 using already full 2.2 installer, made a first run, set optimal preferences.

5. Installed FTX Global: firstly 1.10 and then updated it to 1.20 using patch.

6. Installed Vector.

7. Started Prepar3d v2 and saw this mix of default and ftxg textures, sometimes only default textures.

As addons I have only FTX Global, Vector, Rex 4, AXE & Fs2Crew. All was fine before I updated to 2.2. Omg... )

Is all ok or I should see a little bit better picture?

Thank you!

Hi!

I think I had the same problem. European textures looked correct but flying in North America (CYUL-KIAD) lead to the impression that I was flying above the standard textures. My installation routine was the same as described by you.

I tried fixing it by

1. renaming the "texture" folder in \scenery\world\ to "backup"

2. creating an empty folder at the same location naming it "texture"

3. running the FTX Global 1.1 installer again

4. running the 1.2 update again

5. copying the textures from the "backup" folder into the "texture" folder but didn't overwrite the freshly installed textures

Thankfully this worked well for me and I'm now enjoying FTX Global in this fantastic sim. ^-^

Hope this helps!

I'm having trouble seeing what the problem is with the screenshots, on my end it just looks like a normal night time view with the street lights active.

Could you post a daytime shot of the same area? Unless of course the issue is only at night, then I'll just have to look a little closer :)

Okay. Here are daytime screens. I don't know is all alright, or no... May be I just forgot how it looks even with FTX Global after taking time in XPX ::)  One thing I'm 100% sure - KLAX textures are looking much better than KSAN ) Sry for any inconvenience.
