A320Tiger
HI, I am having a problem with FTX Central. I am in the process putting together a new flight sim server running W7 with a down loaded version of SP2 and I have loaded all of the latest drivers and NET Framework 4.5. I have FSX and ORBX AU Full Terrain EXP SP3 and AU SP4.003 on drive F. I have not installed any other application s/w at this stage. The OS is on an SSD as drive C I have loaded AU SP3 a number of times over the years without any problems using XP and this is the first time I have encountered any problems. As I am about to load a number of other ORBX products as well as other suppliers products I would like to resolve this issue before moving on. Any help you can provide would be most welcome. KR, Holt My problem is that when I activate the APPLY button in FTX Central I get the following msg: Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit. the application will close immediately. Could not find a part of the path 'F:\FSX\Texture\BLDG.dds'. Alex Goff
Try reinstalling the latest libraries, it sounds like you're missing some files which the libraries should correct. Regards, Alex
mcair
Alex, FTXCentral is a disaster. Look at the number of threads that mention FTX Central. I've made this comment before - this program needs to be re-written, and the shell-out to batch files eliminated - from what I can determine, that's the root cause of most of the problems. The batch files are run in a separate process, which FTX Central has no control over. I've struggled with the unhandled exceptions, missing file and access exceptions that FTX Central introduces. I installed FSX in the program files folder before I had purchased any ORBX products, and I have no plans to move it since no other addons that I own (and I have a ton) have any problem with that configuration. I just re-installed all ORBX products and still have the same exceptions. I'm totally fed up with it.
