fltsimguy
So I was looking up this new airport. I have not bought this airport but wanted to see where it was and I find the my Plan G and other info suggests that the ICAO code is EG2J not EGTH. EGTH show in my system as Hatfield. Can you please confirm which is the proper code for this airport?
grajay
Plan G is incorrect. My Pooley's Flight Guide clearly designates Shuttleworth (Old Warden) as EGTH.
Paul Webster
Hi, EGTH is the correct code for Old Warden, it was one of the few codes that got reassigned to a different airport. Paul
fltsimguy
Ah that explains it....and of course Plan-G gets its data from FSX so when I look up EGTH I get Hatfield. This is the first time I have encountered a renamed airport...I wonder if it's possible to adjust this in the FSX Airport file?
Paul Webster
If you load fsx and type EGTH in the airport list it should say old warden now, you may need to rebuild the library for plan-g thou. Paul
mf6480
One other point about the different ICAO codes is that when using the ATC at Old Warden in FSX, its says 'Hatfield' rather than 'Old Warden'. Just wondered if there is any way to change this?
Dean B
IRL there is no ATC at Old Warden. The Tower only opens on Display days.
