FTX problem missing files

I have just reinstalled MS FSX (due problems unrelated to ORBX) and afterwardsl FSX, Central would not start so renistalled the Tas Demo files again (after deleting the orbx folder)

Now when I APPLY the australian region files A box pops up listing about 25 scenery files that are missing. Next step gives a message " installed but with errors" and indeed when using the Launceston airport there are large patches (squares) without texture.

I uninstalled and reinstalled a second time (after resetting fsx library to default) with same result.I have screen shots but see this forum doesn't support upload of images. ??

Anyway onwards and forwards or in the case of orbx, onwards and backwards ( ha ha ).

I have to mention that I have not yet installed fsx acceleration - any likelyhood this would be a problem for orbx at this stage ?

My system :

Operating System MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

CPU Intel Core i7 @ 2.00GHz turbo 2.8ghz Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology

RAM 8.00 GB

Motherboard ASUSTeK Computer Inc. N53SV (CPU 1) 59 °C

Graphics VX2240w (1680x1050@59Hz)

NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M

Any advice greatley appreciated

Thankyou -

reason acceleration not installed yet is that fsx needs activating first and with Microsofts limit on activations was trying to get everything working first -

A chicken and eggs task I admit.

onwards and forwards - I hope

Ok Acceleration installed and problem of missing files disappeared.

However I am getting this message at start up of FSX.

"scenery.cfg file error. Local scenery directory ( addon/SCENERY) in area 115 not found"

Can continue start up but wondering what relevance this message is.

Also taking a step forward I tried install AI TRAFFIC but getting this message.

"Access to following file is denied - orbx/scripts/addscenerylibentries.bat"

EDIT ---- Discovered antivirus was blocking it (thought I had AV turned off) so now ok

I checked folder permissions which appear ok for access

any thoughts on the first item ? ???
