RyanMlt1
On the tarmac and taxiways I do not have pavement textures... Its just grass colored with the grey pavements and taxi lines. Also I have ran into a few problems with FTX Central and messages of unable to complete process due to scenery files being duplicated. I just deleted them and it eventually let me apply N. America. I have updated to.004 and also updated the libraries.
Ian Routley
Hi Ryan, This is compiled photoreal and uses the FSX detail map. If you are using the free REX detail1.bmp then everything in the FSX world will be grass. If you have any ORBX airports with "Aero" I'd suggest coarse or cracked. RyanMlt1
Ok great Thank you, How do I remove the grass, just delete that file? Where is it?
Ian Routley
Deleting the file is not a great idea. The easiest option would be to run FTX Aero. If you have recently updated ORBXLibs then you probably have this If there is no desktop shortcut, then try: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\Aero (or similar, depending on your setup)
RyanMlt1
Ok, Aero automatically detected it and gave me the option to overwrite it. Thank you
beckerm13
Do no mean to takeover this resolved thread. I have a KHQM pavement texture question. Is the KHQM ramp/pavement textures suppose to have this blueish/green color? I have Thanks! Marty Becker
Ian Routley
Quite possibly. It is aerial imagery of the airfield ... and viewing the picture on my laptop's screen ... the variation doesn't look excessive. I think many FSX users have become conditioned to looking at repetitive artificial apron textures. These will obviously look quite a bit different. I'll take a look at your screenshot on another machine and compare. EDIT: Looks ok to me on dev computer at 6500k. We'll see what others think.
