shipdriver
Sharp looking plane. Vertigo planes are always visual treats and allow me to stock up on proper tailhook-equipped aircraft. Ready to taxi out... Phew, I made it with about 3 feet left on the runway! shipdriver
What's the VC like? I sure like these pics! The VC is superb! Vertigo is one of the elites for visuals IMHO. I did find an issue with the tail hook operation. Vertigo has been good about fixing teething problems with new products just like ORBX and the Lancair, so we'll see on that. shipdriver
Looks great indeed! But where's the prop? There a lots of "props"- all inside the turbine though- busy compressing air!
Vlad Maly
It sure is a beauty! Vlad
shipdriver
and how is the cockpit functionality ? Whats not working ? ..but they always look a million dollars. I haven't played with the radios or weapons systems yet, but so far flying-related switchgear is functional. I have an issue with retracting the tailhook (which I suspect is getting retracted in the flight model but not visually) but that is a (I think) bug not a functionality design issue. It's actually simpler to operate in many ways than equivalent piston fighters- no mixture, prop pitch or turbo/supercharger levers. In the other direction, these are definitely simpler machines than say a Super Hornet (IRL and in sim).
Mithrin
If with tailhook you mean you can't retract it...it's not a bug but it's in the manual. Great shots! I'm loving this plane! Great fps too, flew it yesterday with three other Panthers in the air, still frames locked at 30.

Now I've seen that none of this is a bug, but that the hook and barber pole are reset by ground crew post-flight on the real F9F and so Vertigo modelled it that way. I'm told they will add a 'reset' feature on the SP to simulate that ground crew have reset it.
Mithrin
Yeah a reset switch would be really handy!
