Error installing NRM "unhandled exception" from FTX Central

I just purchased and loaded FTX nortern rockies tonight yet I am getting this error message after using the FTX central at the end of the installation, selecting "north america" and hitting the "apply button" and an error comes up as follows:

Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\Backup\default.xml'.

When showing details I get the following information:

My OS is windows 7 64 bit

I hope my introduction to ORBX products can go smoothly from here on out, please help.

Welcome Brian,

Your problem sounds a lot like the one in this post.

The solution to that problem was to browse to FSX\ORBX\Scripts\ and create a folder named "Backup" then cycle FTXCentral between [Default FSX] and [North America].

I did the above and now get another error from FTX Central when trying to reselect north america.  :'(

"could not complete operation since a file already exists in this path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery\ADE_FTX_NRM_01MT_elevation.adjustment.OFF"

hope we can get this sorted
