Wildbird
This was how far I got with a repaint of N708 before thinking that it might be a good idea to google a reg starting to work on it. Turns out it's been done. Anyway, this is one of several Quest Kodiaks belonging to the US Department of the Interior, used to track migratory birds. (Hence the title) Also, I have no idea why I keep on flying the Kodiak with floats, it's pretty messed up. I hope you liked the picture though. Tom Brooks
Why is the float version of the kodiak messed up. I bought it for that reason to use in the PNW and other areas to land on small lakes. Tom B.
Wildbird
It's alright if you like taxiing nose down with the front end of the floats underwater... and suddenly tipping back and forth. And not to mention the problems that all turbine aircraft on floats suffer.
Tom Brooks
I too do not like the turbine water problem, though last night I started up my twin otter and it did not move. I had the prop feathered back all the way and the fuel at low and then started the plane up with out it leaving the dock. The kodiak does have some quirky things to it though I still like flying it. Wildbird
Hmm, I'll have to try that the next time. Yeah, the Kodiak is a good one, but I wouldn't mind one updated both visually and handling vise.
