skkuda
Any good link to get good reading material about pressurization in airplanes? I really want to know all about this topic Thanks In Advance!!!
alan2
The system itself is not all that complicated in principal . Air is pump in and the pressure is controled by a controlling release valve . You control the "leakage". Do you want to get more techy and go into the workings of control valves and pumps ? tim_A
Google "hypoxia" and "pilots" and you'll get lots of results, from symptoms, causes, case studies, well known crashes caused by pressurisation failure (Helios Airways flight 522 is the recent infamous one). There's far too much good info really to list, but here's a couple of links: http://www.pilotfriend.com/training/flight_training/human/hypox.htm
Matthew Kane
That video is freaky. That airline as a cargo operation with a 747 fleet. Good thing they got it back under control.
