gtx 470 or gtx 480

i know the 480 is better but buy how much... the cost$ is very different is the performance

as well?.. i just got my i7 870 @ 4.0ghz im running a ati 5770..what would i benefit?

or should i bit the wallet and get the 480

Hi Tommy,

As Alain said, the 480 GTX is better all around. However, in FSX I found that the difference is between the two is marginal. The 470 GTX wrings out pretty much as much performance as it's bigger brother with less cost and power. So if it was just for FSX, I would suggest the 470 GTX for your system specifications.

In the future, whenever it comes, "Microsoft Flight" might be coded as such that takes greater advantage of the GPUs, perhaps even benefiting much more significantly from SLI. In addition other games and applications might make better use of the extra power of the 480 GTX.

yes this computer is 100% for FSX..i just dont want to put another 400$ in...  for 4 fps gain..

right now i get avr..10/15 fps seattel very dens?  i know it hard to judge and no sys. is the same.. i just wish there were some

benchmarks..for common fsx sys setups.
