jgruschow
Does anyone know it a six core 980 supports hyperthreading? My Task Manager shows 12 screens working. I want to know how to cancel hyperthreading. My setup has no mention of H/T.
alainneedle1
Yes it does...you have to disable it in bios if you don't want it...

Heiko Glatthorn
Some report stutters with HT enabled for FSX - i can't confirm because i disabled it at day one... The CPU will run cooler without HT (important for high overclocks). And yes, you have to disable it in the BIOS.
Ian Routley
I did run HT when I got my i7-940 (got excited about 8 cores!) The excitement was shortlived as it became apparent that it runs better on 4 ... with HT disabled. The puported reason is "thread collision" ... given FSX is not truly multi-thread aware. \
