Arismac
I have been slowly digesting the thread that Jesus pointed us to and have come to the conclusion that I should disable hyperthreading on my i7. Have I got this right? Am I able to do this in the BIOS without getting into too much trouble? And how about the turbo should this be running or not? Thanks
John Lovell
There wont be any risks at all if you disable hyperthreading, if anything, your CPU would be better off as temps would be lower if you disable it. I get a performance increase with it off

You should turn off hyperthreading and if your CPU is overclocked, the turbo too. It's easy to do, just find them in your bios, select the disable option and save your settings. What is your overclock? Kind regards,
Arismac
Thanks for your response gents. I have not overclocked because I don't know how Stephen. I will dive into the BIOS and see what I can find in there, then report back here for the info of others.
