Acronis

Hello all,

I've heard a few people mention Acronis to backup FSX and wondered what the advantages of this are over the standard backup software that comes with Windows Vista.

I have so many downloads and addons for FSX now that it would take me forever to rebuild it all again so an easy to backup and replace solution seems sensible.  Having said that, I don't want to be paying for backup software if it's not much better than the default Vista version as there are plenty of Orbx products I've yet to spend some cash on.

Any ideas and thoughts on Acronis would be appreciated.

Also, I have all my FSX files on a seperate disk (D:) to everything else but the .cfg etc is in the C: drive so apart from backing up the FSX (D:) drive, what other locations would I need to backup?

Cheers

Try Macrium Reflect Backup. There is a free version which allows for the backup and reinstallation of individual drives annd restoration of individual files. I find it better than Acronis - which has failed on me several times in the past.
