realatp
I'm playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 and sometimes out of nowhere it kicks me out. I decided to use GPU-Z and log it while Im playing, the GPU gets up to 87C is this to hot and could this be the reason why im gettig kicked out the game? Thanks
jgruschow
It shoupd not be the reason. I have two 480's and their temperature is an almost constant 90.
Iain Emms
No i would not have thought so as well, I use a Antec spotcool fan to cool my 480 as well and it helps in flightsim never really goes over 78 degrees stays mostely around 76 degrees so i think this helps to cool the card down also i have a high flow plate which my friend Stephen [spirtfler] sent me and that also helps great with venting the heat out of the card just a thought. cheers Iain
UlfB
I use a ZOTAC 480 AMP! (factory overclocked) and it comes with the Zalman custom cooler. Very quiet and effective cooling. Temp at 51C or below in FSX. Max 81C with OCCT GPU test. Below 40C when idle.
sbflyer
I use MSI Afterburner running in the background to set a more aggressive fan speed profile. I was getting 80 deg. in FSX with the stock profile, now its 65 def. or so max. More fan noise, but I prefer to extend the life of the card. Should help with the Battlefield game.
