Newly released today:

feelthere

Embraer E-Jets v.2- Embraer 175 and the Embraer 195.

Having bought and flown the Wilco Embraer 135 and 145 series, I was keen to see what feelthere had to offer.

feelthere released the BN-2 Islander a while back and I thought it to be of sound quality, so at the risk of throwing away 47 bucks Oz, I opted to give it a go.

It's got some nice little add-ons with a weather radar, call-outs and a few other little nickey knack things to get you interested.

245Mb download and an easy installation seen it flying on my desktop in no time.

When I started it up, I was a little disappointed.

The flight deck doesn't seem as crisp and sharp as the Wilco one, but everything functions and they had added some nice features.

Exterior is quite detailed but desperately in need of an Ozzie paint job (hmmm, Qantaslink, me thinks).

Handling and take-off was well handled although the instruments could have had better access.

It's a dream to fly (like the other Embraer) and with the inclusion of the inbuilt checklists, the immersion factor is very good.

The flight to Brissie was quick and efficient even tho the landing was a little hairy (due to lack of control knowledge), but I managed to get it on the deck in a few pieces.

Overall, a nice piece of mid sized tubing. It should scrub up nice with the right livery splashed on it.

Gotta go, I hear a paint can calling....

Requirements on their web site state . . .

Windows 7 (only 32 bit systems are supported)

Are you having no problems with it on your system Frank?  That statement put me off in purchasing as I have Win7 64 bit also.

Yeah,

I know they say that Ken, but I'm running 64 bit and never had any probs with any aircraft of theirs or others.

I'd like to hear from others but pretty sure it's just their out if something goes wrong. They can claim they don't support 64 bit.

Here she is, getting close to finished.

It's taken me some time to make a white paint kit for it, as the default paint kit has quite a few problems.

It should be over at Ozx tomorrow, with some luck.

And I might add, it's growing on me every time I fly this old girl.

Thanx Rick,

I've just come back from Montville (little piece of Sunshine Coast Heaven) where I went for lunch. Glorious day. Had the roof down and the wind blowing through the last few strands of hair....What more could a man want????
