ojdee Posted July 15, 2010 Share Posted July 15, 2010 HI I've just got the 3d Vision kit with the Acer 24" monitor and FSX looks amazing as expected, running at 1920x1080. Thing is, it hits my framerate quite hard, also as expected. Without 3d effect, I'm locked at 25 in most scenarios. With 3d this can fall to single digits. The question is, will the performance increase from a 285 to a 460 be worth it, specifically for 3d. It seems nvidia mention 3d vision in most sentences when they are pushing the 400 series so I'm wondering if they have optimisations to handle 3d over and above the raw performance comparisons.
