antonvs
I know these have been reported in the past and they have been false positives. But this one is different. It happened during an attempt to update. Virus detected by Avast! b251681f0049/2023-03-05T02:38:58.836Z I'm going to delete central and reinstall to see what happens. antonvs
I uninstalled and reinstalled Orbx Central (4.1.62) and all seems OK. So I don't know what was happening. All Good. I'll move on.
Angelo Avenoso
Hi Anton, Sorry to hear that this has occurred, although I am glad you got it working. In these cases, Antivirus often "quarantines" the exe for some unknown reason. I believe "IDP.Generic" is also a general false positive. If it happens again, please check/add in Orbx Central to the whitelist (exclusions) in your Avast settings. This will ensure Avast does not interfere with the Central exe in future, or any other programs you wish to exclude. Please note, choosing to trust certain programs will ensure that Avast does not run checks on these programs, so I would recommend not adding too many to the whitelist. You can do this by following these steps: Click Menu > “Settings” and then go to the “General” tab. Now Click “Exclusions”. To Whitelist a Program, Select “File Paths” tab. Add Path to program. You can also report the false positive directly to Avast for their records. See how here: What to do if a file is infected?
