martinc
Hi folks, Found a useful little file over at fscorner.com in the FSX airplane section called "c172sptm.zip", its a PSD file of the default C172 assembly. Save a few steps if you've got photoshop and your doing new textures for the C172. Cheers MC
anthony31
Or you could use the GIMP which will also load Photoshop files
Maurice_King
What is it supposed to do ?
martinc
Its all the bits of the C172 fuselage and structure. Being a PSD file if you load it into photoshop it will seperate out into a number of layers you can pick for repainting before flattening it and saving it to use as an alternate texture file. Maurice_King
Oh yeah sorry brain fade, I've made many templates for many different Aircraft which makes painting them much neater and more organised. Actually it's closer than you might think to the way various schemes are applied at the factory with masks, which is just one of the things I do. I'm not sure whether many people bother painting the Stock Aircraft in FS and FSX as their quality IMHO compared to other free and payware Aircraft is very low. BUT with good textures and custom gauges they can spruce up well.
