SB23
Hi there, I am about to purchase a new iMac and want to make sure i get the spec right. The plan is to get a 552 GB SSD + 8GB video card, thinking this should be ample. Once I have installed my current Mac setup this should leave about 200GB free for now. I also use a 6TB external HD for keeping bulky scenery etc. I plan to purchase some of your lovely looking american scenery for xplane, I assume the HD versions would be the same definition quality as the GB series and I love flying low so this is what I suppose I should be aiming at. However i am not 100 percent sure if I would still have enough space on the SSD, I do not want to gert a 1TB ssd, unless I really have to. When you say you need enough free disk space on both installation disk and destination disk, do you mean just for the initial download or for the entire installed product? ie. is it possible to download the initial download onto the SSD and then move it onto the external hard drive for unpacking and then using it from there via an alias? Kind regards Sean Burke
