shape of grey Posted December 8, 2009 Share Posted December 8, 2009 Ok this is really weird. Recenty I've done a complete "from-ground-up" format and reinstall of the OS and FSX + addons. Everything has been running as good as can be expected on my specs, but as of two days ago, after flying a lesson (landing/takeoff) in FSX the sim started having these stutter issues. They seem to happen any time there's text appearing on the screen, like REX weather engine "loading" text, or the ATIS or the text with directions/cautions/warnings that pops up during missions/lessons. It also does it when I open or close the ATC window. Here's a quick YouTube vid of the issue. I've tried restoring a backup fsx.cfg but that did nothing, I've also tried 3 different versions of ATI drivers 9.9, 9.10, and 9.11 . Playing in DX10 mode fixes the problem, however it comes back as soon as I go back to DX9. Has anyone run into something like this before? Or have any ideas what may be causing this? I would really love to avoid having to reinstall FSX and dozens of addons if I can avoid it. ~cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
