DarrylH
Well, it seems that despite allowing a significant budget, I can't find anyone here to b uild a special purpose machine. So I got to thinking, if I have a Quod Q6700 with a 512 Nvidia 8600, 4gb of memory, I should be getting better out of it. In windowed mode I get between 40 and 70fps smooth. If I use the TH2G and three screens I only get 8-20. If I had more video RAM, would that give me better widescreen framerates? So rather than spemd 1000s on a new computer, maybe if I spent $700 on a 2gb GTX285, would that help enough. Around 16-25 fps I can live with if smooth. AND if I update to 64 bit oS instead of vista 32 home premium? Do you think this is a workable solution? cheers darryl
markwlee
Looks like the new ATI 5870 (<$600) card is the way to go - does 6 monitors without TH2Go.
