MarkJHarris Posted January 26, 2017 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Ok, I'm trying to remove every trace of ORBX and go back to a Vanilla FSX-SE before loading it back. (Nothing against it just want a clean start). I just can't do it. I've removed every ORBX directory, every FSX part and also deleted Steam and reloaded that. From the Appdata to the files, start menu, you name it, even the registry. Every part removed, yet it comes back when I try to re-install, and only offers me the Hawaii scenery. Help! Finally got rid, but for some reason, even though I've got all 11GB of O.E scenery installed it only reads one state and Hawaii area. Tried the utility too. Because I hadn't backed up the O.E. scenery, when I removed the ORBX fully first time, it had removed all the ORBX scenery which only left a few bits behind in the scenery.cfg that is ACTUALLLY used by FSX to generate the Scenery library. It is not the one in the FSX folder. AGGHH!!! C:\ProgramData\Mircosoft\fsx is the path and there lo and behold is the actual scenery.cfg that is being used, plus the old backups and removed ones left behind from other changes that installers did.
