I think this power supply is a low end made in China thing. I replaced more than 20 of those in my office PCs already (no kidding). I bit the bullet and equipped now most with Tagans (which is high end made in China...).

Vista 64 works like Aspirin.

The 8800 GTS might be a bottle neck at 1680x1050 res.

FSX better run on an separate HDD.

Which kind of RAM ? I bought now 6 HP PCs and they always use the most lousy ones available...

Well if the power supply was made in China then people will hate the guy at Hiteksystems Ltd, New Zeland and we never buy anything from him. So why am I?

So your saying Vsita 64 is better than 32bit?

RAM is DDR2 if thats what your asking.

But this PC was built withen a budget.

In the future I'll upgrade with a even BETTER gaming pc. But that will be in 6-9years time when I have that much $$$$$.

Most PSUs (and most other electronic) are made in China nowadays. An EVGA 280 GTX OC WC for example... Well, that's not always a bad thing - Tagan produces under German supervision and i never had a problem with those. If you must meet a competitive price, you simply can't produce in Germany... I was referring to the cheap stuff made in China, that's mostly money out of the window.

Once i bought a PSU which stated made in Taiwan on the box, but the sticker on the part said China. That's of course a bad trick...

If the PC is tight within a budget, it's of course o.k.. It has to be o.k.

Oh btw - yes, 64 bit OS is superior to 32 bit. There are many pros and i still search the cons... Maybe that a 10 year old software doesn't run.

If that's what you can afford, so be it, but that processor is very low-end. It should run FSX OK but don't expect great performance at YMML.

If you're getting Vista make sure it comes with the free upgrade to Win7.
