IanHenry Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 Hi, I want to upgrade my processor to make my present system last another 12 months (when I will probably switch to i7 or something similar) but it seems that Intel are discontinuing the Core 2 Duo range and they are becoming difficult to get hold of. I currently have a E6700 2.66 GHz, but due to restrictions caused by my mother board it looks like the best processor I can fit is the IntelCore 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz 12288KB L2 Cache 1333MHz FSE (I haven’t a clue what that lot means!) can anyone advice me if I will I see a significant difference in performance in FSX with this?
