Dave_YVR
I don't think Homer has an ILS. Just a Loc/DME.
Alex Goff
Hi Joe, Dave is right about the glidescope, runway 4 has a LOC/DME on 109.30mhz with a heading of 33. My aircraft are showing receiving it, although an ILS would be nice for some of the foggy seaside days!
joeflight64
Hi Alex,ok,thanks, but my problem is that it get LOC but not get down ...
Alex Goff
For the localizer, all it should display is the horizontal direction of the runway in relation to the aircraft. A LOC/DME does not have any horizontal guidance like an ILS, the only vertical guidance is from the VASI.
joeflight64
I use PMDG 737 NGX on P3D V3.
Alex Goff
The LOC/DME is active, but it will not give you vertical guidance, it is not an ILS
dominique
You could use the Space Shuttle and that wouldn't change a thing, my friend . Read the posts above, read also here https://www.airnav.com/airport/PAHO, read my lips : there's no radio beacon providing vertical guidance in PAHO ! However, there's still a way to land in PAHO with vertical guidance ! You've to use the GPS receiver for the RNAV LPV procedures for 04 and 22. I suppose that the PMDG 737 can do that, can't she ? BTW, one nice dimension in flightsimming is learning. A nice site to begin with http://www.navfltsm.addr.com/basic-nav-general.htm?
