active Freeware airports not displaying buildings

So I have FTX NA Pacific Northwest installed and I decided to install the freeware Vashon Island and for some reason the buildings lining the runway do not appear.  A couple appear at the far end of where my aircraft is but if I get closer they disappear.  Same goes for the airport that's on the same island but further south.  If I pan the camera to go above the aircraft the buidlings will appear in the corner of my view but if I bring it back down to a more normal angle all the buildings disappear again.  This is in P3Dv2.5, updated libraries installed, I also tried changing the autogen sliders with no luck.  The airports were fine when I first installed everything then I disabled the area for a while and just today enabled it again.
