[Is the MS Store or Steam the best place to download MSFS 2020?]

Hi Everyone,

I'm about ready to jump back in and purchas this sim and I'm wondering from people's experiences, is the MS Store or Steam the best place to download this?

What's the one that gives you the least hassles with any installation errors, updates, downloads etc...

Which one works best with 3rd party addons or are the both the same?

[Best place to download MSFS 2020 for Addons to be Used]

Hi Flight Simmers,

 

I'm just about to get back into Flight Simming after a decent break and despite being an original alpha/beta tester for this game, I never purchased it as I took a break altogether from flight simming.

 

Can anyone advise from their experiences of which is the best place to download MSFS 2022 from either the Microsoft Store or Steam to then be able to use addons like from say Orbx or any other 3rd party developer to enhance the sim experience. I'll also want to use a career addon called Neofly so I'm looking for the best place to download MSFS 2020 from that will give me the best experience with the least hassles of then using addons.

I'm going to finally get into MSFS 2020 and wanted to know the best place to download it from, is it the Microsoft Store or Steam or anywhere else?. Just somewhere that will give me the least issues with updates and addons that I will ultimately use from Orbx, and any career addons like Neofly..

[Seeking advice on Orbx and Microsoft Products - Long time Flight Simmer Returning after a few years break to Microsoft Flight Simulator]

I'm returning to the game after a few years break. I was an original beta/alpha tester or whatever we were known as for MSFS however I lost interest shortly after and pursued other things. After a few years break, its time to come back to one of my passions which is flight simming. 

I am about to purchase a brand new to be built custom PC with the followings specs:

With all the advancements and stuff with MSFS, I'm just looking to cover all my bases and make sure the above will give me the best or the close to as best experience as I can get for MSFS or whether there is anything I should upgrade on ?

Also, I'm an old Flight Simulator buff and P3D nut so I'm wondering what are some good Orbx addons I can purchase to enhance my experience, is there anything like the old Global Base and/or Vector or anything similar. I'm also wondering if there are any recommended Microsoft addons anyone can suggest that will enhance my experience further. 

I have a Logitech 3D Pro flight control yoke and will this work with MSFS as a plug and play or does it require configuring?

Also, are there any career mode type addons anyone can recommend that will get me started in MSFS.

[Is there a list anywhere as to what Joysticks/flight controls will support MSFS 2020 release on XBOX]

Greetings fellow flight simmers,

 

Not long to go now for the release of MSFS 2020 on the XBOX Series X and with any luck, not long after will we be able to access and use Orbx products for the XBOX as I can tell you I'll be amongst the purchases for sure.

 

Does anyone know of or could share a link as to what joysticks/control yokes will be compatible with MSFS 2020 on XBOX out of the gate ?. I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and hope that may get me through until the Velocity One Flight Yoke Controls from Turtle Beach are available at the end of August.

 

Also, is there any knowledge as yet as to what Orbx products will be available through the XBOX marketplace at MSFS 2020 launch on the XBOX ?

[Will Orbx have a presence on the XBOX Series X Marketplace ?]

Greetings fellow flight simmers,

Does anyone know or are they aware of whether Orbx will have a presence on the XBOX marketplace once the sim comes out on the XBOX Series X ?

I'm curious and wonder if anyone from Orbx is able to say whether they will have a presence on the XBOX marketplace for people to purchase addon planes, scenery etc... or whether as they sell addons for MSFS 2020 now through their store for the PC, whether  this will also translate over to the XBOX Series X ?

 

Really looking forward to this coming out on the Series X...:-)

[XBOX Series X - Microsoft / XBOX Marketplace - Will it be Available ?]

Long time flight simmer coming back into flight simming from a very extended break.

 

I was away from flight simming for quite a while then the opportunity to be an original tester for MSFS 2020 came about and I did that for a while then took a another break until now.

Even after being an original tester for MSFS 2020, for some reason I didnt feel the urge to get the sim as soon as it came out and was hoping for it to come out on the XBOX Series X which it now is.

 

My question is that with Orbx products that are on their site for MSFS 2020 obviously for the PC, will this translate over to be able to work on the XBOX Series X or will they not be compatible until they release products for the XBOX Series X separately. Will there be a section on the marketplace on the XBOX Series X for Orbx Products ?

 

It's almost good to be be back but will be come July...:-)
