You don't need to edit the xml file to get rid of a default airport. Just go to the content manager, search for KAVX, and uninstall the Asobo one. I did that many many months ago with LOWI since I bought the Orbx version but have Premium Deluxe which included MS's version as well.

Yep, welcome to V2. Same "HD" textures as V1. At least it was free, for me, since I had V1. Think I'm just going to avoid it at this point. Tried ILS 8 approach in the PMDG 737 and it's super unstable when you get about 500AGL even in no wind. Tested at another airport, no issues, so it's not the new 737 patch either.

Grabbed my free upgrade to V2 today. Uninstalled V1, installed V2, this does not look like "Ultra HD" or "high quality textures" to me. As a matter of fact when I first loaded into the gate I had to double check that I had actually installed the new version. The terminal building in front of me looked exactly the same. Attaching a pic of one of the hangar buildings over by the FBO.

Yeah I don't think it will fix the problem I'm talking about. I don't leave Central running in the background. I just open it to check once in a while and it will randomly log out. Kinda of like when websites log you out. I assume it's a security measure to help prevent unauthorized purchases, but at least give us an option to stay logged in even if it's turned off by default.

Anyone know how to keep Orbx Central from randomly deciding to log out all the time? It's super annoying. I open it once a week or so to check for updates and it gets annoying having to keep jumping over to LastPass to grab my password. I had posted something in the old Central support forum almost 3 months ago trying to see if it was a problem on my end and it was ignored completely so I take that as a "it's functioning correctly" and I'm not going to bother with a support ticket again. This is a very annoying UI design issue for sure though.

Is there some way to force the app to not just randomly log out? Every other time I open it I have to log in again which is annoying enough. However just now while browsing around for something new to buy I clicked on a new category after looking at some things and got the silly login screen again. This really makes for a poor user experience.

Thanks, I figured out what's different, I put the weight in the copilot seat. Should have been the Passenger location. That one is the outboard seat and doesn't give the view blocker.

How do you stop it from showing a visual copilot model when adding weight to the other seat positions? Really kind of interferes with the viewing. I don't remember this happening before the update.

Hi guys, got a question about the X-Plane TrueEarth sceneries for North America. I'm just wondering what the visual difference truly is between the SD and HD versions? There's a huge install size difference of course and my poor 2 TB SSD is already 2/3's full between MSFS with a bunch of stuff, other games, and XP11 with a few of the X-Europe, X-America type stuff installed. I didn't get XP11 until well after picking up MSFS and really only use it for some airliner stuff like the Zibo 737 and the Toliss A321. Is the HD scenery going to be worth it when mainly cruising at 30K feet? Not sure if it matters but I typically run at 3440x1440 ultrawide resolution.

Oh boy I came up with a new suggestion. EINN Shannon Ireland. It’s a major western airport in Ireland and it’s a mess. Maybe make an old school region for Ireland even. I went to fly over the Cliffs of Moher and what a disappointment. The cliff dropoff is ok but the ground texture is wrong. The walkway that goes along the cliffs and a tower ruin that overlooks the ocean is actually like 3/4 down the cliff face. Would be a gorgeous spot if someone fixed it up. I wanted to check it out in the sim after visiting there last year.

Yep that was specifically why I mentioned it. I have no problem editing those file, though sometimes I just get lazy and like to use the sim. The other issue is one of the known troubleshooting steps for scenery conflicts is to delete that file and let the sim re-create it so if you forget to change that entry again then it would show back up. If you just flat out uninstall it inside the sim that's never an issue and it's easily reinstalled if needed.
