If you want the second runway you'll need to upgrade to P3D, if you do V5 is the only way to go.

You can still buy P3D v4 from Prepar3D's website. For a lot of addons, it's still the most stable P3D platform. I never "upgraded" my P3D to v5 as it still has problems with some sceneries and aircraft. As of now, I have not installed P3D v4 since changing to Windows 11 and only have MSFS installed. I do miss PMDG's heavies though.

  2. No, not for me. I have a great computer and screen to enjoy the full potential of MSFS, that is, when I have time. I'm an in-depth airliner flyer, such as PMDG, FBW, etc. This idea is only for the "gamers". I don't consider myself one. I don't race or do multiplayer although I'd love to join Vatsim or the like if I had time to get into that world. I have enjoyed PMDG, QualityWings et al for many years. I'm looking forward to the MSFS PMDG B737-700 and all the other Boeings they will offer. And the QualityWings B787 if they are still working on it...

  3. For "major" updates, I always uninstall MSFS, reboot and clean-install again. Sure, It takes more time but I never have those MSFS problems I hear often in different forums. Doing clean installs really help have the smoothest and most compatible running software without problems.

It is still on our mind, but it is on ice for the moment.

We made a few city packs a bit "out of context," like Cape Town, Dubai and Mumbai, and despite being great executions, with lots of research done and great POIs, they do not seem to be very popular so it is a hard decision for us to keep doing loss-makers.
If we do too many of those, we won't be making anything any more soon ;-)

    Hi Anna,

As you know, Flight simulator is about planes and airports. Cities are important as well. I myself have some cityscapes. I can imagine you know about our community and the fact that a lot of people have asked for Dubai International airport to be made. Fly Tampa made the FSX and P3D versions of it (now very outdated) and we (the community) have asked them to do the MSFS version of it. Our many petitions to Fly Tampa has landed on deaf ears. Now we want to ask Orbx if they have any plans to do it. There is a whole lot of us waiting for that airport to be done (Asobo’s rendition is not a good one as you know). I am more than certain that if you’d do it, sales of Dubai cityscape would explode, apart from the fact that Dubai’s airport would sell very well.

Again, your beautiful Dubai cityscape has a problem. There is no airport to land at or take off from.

I hope this post will make Orbx see that Dubai is a much sought-for airport. Then we can all get the cityscape and enjoy the approaches and departures from this beautiful city. I have been there twice myself in real life.

But as of now, for many of us, it’s pointless to buy a cityscape in a Flight Simulator without a proper airport. Because flight simulation is all about planes and airports.

    Thanks for listening, Anna.
