Pretty wet up here but I guess it is summer. We arrived here at the start of last winter and still blown away at the fantastic drive up to Port Douglas. Makes it hard to concentrate on the road

G'day from Cairns.
I'm still on windows 10.
Select Start > Settings > Time & Language > Language / Region.
Under Country or region, select your new region.

I use it and very happy.
You can make your own folders so have something like Airports, then folders inside that for countries that you fly and within a country folder add more for States / Provices.
Then if I want to fly in Australia and perhaps only Queensland I only activate just the QLD folder and start up MSFS. Quick loading times.
Having custom folders also makes it easier to update addons that I get from flightsim.to as you have them neatly organised.
I'm sure there's loads more you can do with Add-on linker and my use is probably just super basic but works great for me.

Hi Jack. Yes the controller is too frustrating to use with the flightsim as it seems too aggressive and confuses me. I had a sidewinder pro joystick for pc flying (also had a yoke, trim wheel and foot pedals) but none worked with Xbox so couple of weeks ago I got an inexpensive T.Flight Hotas One as promoted for Xbox. Works great and comfortable to use so now I can just go for a flight, no issues and mimimal setup time.
I must admit though that nothing really compares to flying a stick plane with a VR headset on, around Oregon and Washington. Don't have the headset now but flights I had with that, you actually felt like you've been somewhere for the past hour or so. Awsome. For now though, a 65" LG C1 Oled :-)- 2

Jack, I recently got an Xbox and was pretty impressed with the graphics in 4K on a big tv and it's pretty much just turn it on and fly. Not sure if you ever go that route but if you purchase the airports via the MSFS Market place (accessible while your running MSFS 2020) you get 2 versions (one for Xbox and the other for PC) so you don't have to purchase twice. There isn't a massive selection of Orbx airports currently on Xbox but perhaps the number will rise.
Just something to consider if your going to shell out a lot of cash now.

Sorry, should have added this to the Xbox subforum

Hi. I just got an Xbox X and installed MSFS 2020 from the marketplace (I already owned it for the PC). All looks great and pretty impressed but wanted to purchase the Orbx airports to make it look way better such as Darrington, Orcas, Anacortes & Concrete, but only found a few others in the listings on the market place. How many are there to buy? Are all the other still currently being converted to Xbox?
Thanks.

Thanks for the info Nick. Will have to wait for the next sale as have no access to Marketplace at the moment.
On another note, I used to live in Acomb years ago :-) Hope all is well over there.

Hi. I have a PC with quite a collection of Orbx airports purchased through Direct and have nothing via MS marketplace. Have just ordered an Xbox as they are finally available where I live and was curious as to whether or not there was a discount for purchasing all the same airports I have on PC through whatever Xbox uses (probably Marketplace)? Perhaps every is completely seperate? Thanks, Andrew

Hi Don,
If I was you I'd switch it back to the US language just for now so you can fire up MSFS. I've absolutely no idea why changing it would effect MSFS but then it has many mysteries as you know. I'll have a look online over the next few days and see what the issue may be.
Sounds like you had an awesome drive to Airlie. It's a fair drive up to there and lucky you made it with a driver falling asleep.
