Yeah, I reckon I'll give it a whirl. Never hurts to try, and $10 a month? Pffft, puh-leaze. Until a couple of months ago I was dishing out $45 a month to maintain 3 seperate EVE Online accounts, which I realise was a little excessive, even ridiculous. And what was I doing with those 3 accounts? Mining. Making ISK. EVE's equivalent of MMO grinding. Not even doing anything fun! I am was a sad, sad person. So yeah, I reckon $10 a month to have a crack at Prepar3d is fair.
One thing I'll be interested to see from a consumer standpoint is whether there will be any spinoff from Prepar3d back into FSX. If some of the more general optimisations could be packaged as a retail addon for FSX then LM would have a very nice little cashcow indeed.
