    DigitalDesign LFLL in X-Plane

    I purchased this yesterday and suffered massive frame rate hits on landing there. After a little bit of searching, I found a couple of posts relating to changes in the order of the entries in the x-plane scenery.ini file.

    The problem lies (in my case) with the 3d grass rendition at the airport, as there is loads of it. It hammers my RTX3090 even, losing up to 50% in FPS...

     

    The manual refers to options that may be set, but I found no options folder in the install performed through Orbxdirect, so I went off to search for this specifically...

    Wolkenschreck2 posted a link to a file on google drive. The options folder has replacement files to switch off the 3D grass rendition, or the orthophotos if you so wish...

     

    Turning off the 3D grass is no real image hit, but a massive performance booster :)

     

    Just thought I would add this here, as the orbxdirect version of DD's LFLL does not have the options folder (yet?).
