  1. Hello

I am not sure I have installed REX Accuseason correctly, so far I see no changes in the MS2020. The whole process was very confusing. I had three options where to install. I have Microsoft store addition but community folded is in the custom location. I also use Addons Linker.

Orbx library is located in the folder linked to the Addon linker. The installer installed REX Accuseason into that same folder, along with other Orbx sceneries. Every time I either open REX Accuseason app or refresh Addon Linker folders when I install something else the REX folder in the linker got unticked (disabled). Trying to figure out why REX becomes inactive.

  2. Greetings.

Pretty much most of sceneries I installed I buy from Orbx. What I noticed in Orbx Central, that many sceneries are from different developers. When I install new scenery do I always have to delete default scenery from content manager in MSFS? I read conflicting information whether I should keep the default scenery or delete it.

    Thanks

  3. I might have found what is happening. I just installed new LPPT Orbx scenery and when accessed Orbx Library folder I found only RJAA and just newly installed LPPT scenery folders reside there. Both RJAA and LPPT are shown with green checkmarks in the Central. I think when I installed my other sceneries (UUEE, EIDW...) I copied those sceneries from Orbx Library folder to the Addons Linker folder and then I deleted scenery folders in Orbx library folders. Not sure if I was supposed to do that. I now reinstalled all sceneries again and copied them all to the Linker folder as I did before but this time I did not delete anything in Orbx Library folder. All sceneries are now have green checkmarks in Orbx Central. Looks normal now.

Now the only question is how will I know if there is an update for a scenery?

    Thanks

This is the same for me, did you install your addons straight into your community folder and then copy paste them out into another folder for addon linker? But however you did it they are installed. If you go into addon linker and ‘turn on’ all your scenery, then they’ll turn green in Orbx (providing you restarted Central) and then you’ll be able to check for updates

Well. They do not turn green in Central regardless if I turn them On or Off in the Linker. I restarted Central, reboot PC, still the same. Only RJAA is green. But I installed them all the same way. If I click on RJAA the option 'Uninstall' appears. The opposite with other sceneries.

  5. Hello.

    MSFS 2020

I noticed that several sceneries in the Orbx Central shown as they were never installed. As it shown in the images RJAA has a green checkmark and LOWW and UUEE don't. If I click on LOWI/UUEE then Install option appears. It does not appear for RJAA. I use Addons Linker and all my sceneries are in the dedicated Addons Linker folder. All sceneries are installed and work. Even if I reinstall those sceneries again those green checkmarks still do not show (only for RJAA).

Also, I never saw any updates for any sceneries as I saw before for P3D. Am I missing something?

    Thanks

  6. Greetings.

When do I have to do these steps suggested above? Before or after installing updates:

    1. Delete any rolling cache.

    2. Delete the Content.xml file.

    (AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Content.xml)

    3. Delete the simulator .dat files

    (AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes\*.dat)

    4. Do not add anything to the Community folder before running MSFS after the update is complete.

If these steps are recommended before installing new update how will I know there is an update pending? I do not always check for update news and there are time new update catches me off guard.

    Thanks for looking.

If you are asking if you can move some Orbx addons from C drive to D drive then the answer is Yes.

I use Addonlinker since day one of it's release and because it creates symbolic Links and not Shortcuts, Orbx Central will read and update accordingly. Of course you must have the addon enabled via AddonLinker in your Community folder in order for it to be updated.

For example if you have on your D drive, Orbx LOWI and an update became available, you would need to ensure that you added LOWI to the Community folder via AddonLinker symbolic Link first and then ran the Orbx Central update option.

Orbx Central will read the Community folder so any Orbx addons that have updates, need to be symbolicLnked by AddonLinker into your Community folder.

I do it all the time and no problems at all. I do use the Microsoft Store Premium de-luxe version of MSFS and not Steam but I would see no difference in this particular application of moving addons from one drive to another.

Try moving an addon from C to D drive and then enable it using AddonLinker. If the Steam version has issues with it then just move the addon back to the C drive. I don't anticipate any problems will be experienced.

    Hello.

Where can I find some information how to do that? I have just started using addon linker and I cannot figure out how to install Orbx sceneries into linker folder. Thanks
