Re: all the criticisms against MSFS London Landmarks in this thread
I've bought and used it and I'm not understanding the issue here. We aren't supposed to look at the landmarks from such a low height and distance. This is a flight simulator, not Cities: Skylines. Some of you guys are flying the drone camera literally inches from the landmarks and taking pics. The altitude and distance you are using aren't realistic. You will never fly an aircraft or helicopter that close to the landmarks in London in real life. And think of the FPS hit as well if you really want them highly detailed.
Orbx have done a phenomenal job with this addon.
I'm sorry but you miss the point. I buy scenery addons to add to and improve default scenery. This addon severely degrades existing good models in a 'new generation' of flight sim quality.
I never said all other models should be this standard so the 'FPS hit' comment is irrelevant. I'm not requesting '400 other models' be upgraded.
London Landmarks for FS 2020 is a good idea and certainly needed, but why didn't Orbx give it some thought and leave the very expertly created existing default structures alone?
Regarding 'realistic altitude and distance', if I want to land a float plane on the Thames next to Tower Bridge in a revolutionary new sim, I don't want to look at 'FSX quality' model.

Just saying...
