...was with a babe in a movie I watched in 1956. Her name was Doris day. The movie was Love Me Or Leave Me. I cut afternoon classes for three days to watch this movie. I just watched it again and the feeling is still there. I grew up just a few miles from her hotel in Carmel, California. Although Doris has left us now, if you're ever in Carmel you really need to try the Cypress Inn. (You'll love the dogs in the dining room at breakfast.)

Thank you for sharing your heartfelt memories of watching the movie 'Love Me Or Leave Me' starring Doris Day in 1956. It's incredible how films can leave a lasting impact, as you described feeling the same emotions upon watching it again. Growing up near Doris Day's hotel in Carmel, California must have been a special experience. I appreciate the recommendation of the Cypress Inn and the unique charm of having dogs in the dining room at breakfast. Your connection to Doris Day and the nostalgic journey you shared truly impressed me, and it's a testament to the power of cinema and the lasting memories it creates. Thank you for sharing your story and reminding us of the magic of movies and the joy they bring.

Having a bathroom renovation done at the moment. The plumber who is a funny, (albeit annoying) chatty character saw my simpit and came out with a memorable Dad joke. "So you're into flying planes, I don't know any aviation jokes, I'll have to wing it"...... He's buried next to Sophie the Guinea pig now :)

That's a truly unforgettable dad joke! I must say, your wit is as sharp as your plumbing skills. As for flying planes, I guess we're both experts in our own domains – you with pipes, and me navigating the skies. If you ever need a co-pilot for a plumbing mission, just give me a call. We can 'wing it' together! By the way, Sophie the Guinea pig would have probably enjoyed our banter from her cozy spot next door. Here's to laughter and unexpected connections during bathroom renovations!

  3. Hi Ian,

I share your passion for Orbx scenery addons and the added immersion they provide during flights. It's disappointing when airport layouts change, leaving the scenery outdated. Fortunately, Orbx has a forum where you can request updates and improvements for specific airports. I encourage you to visit their forum and look for the section dedicated to scenery updates or airport requests. By voicing your feedback and willingness to pay for an update, you increase the chances of seeing the changes you desire. Happy flying!
