Fantastic news, HybridNZ. And I can say the scenery already is excellent.

May I use the chance to make a remark: The Mountain View chalets in Milford Sound lodge have the wrong orientation (terraces must face the river). The Riverside chalets are correct. I can send you pictures once I am back at my computer, on Wednesday.

Thanks.. please do but quickly as we're finishing up development shortly

  2. Hi all,

The texture used has been in place since the launch of NZA Milford Sound Region. We were asked by a lot of our customer base during development to try and do something about the issues with tearing. This is the solution that was put in place.

There is another bug going on with the MSFS engine which we have open with Asobo where the normals are flipped and why we can't just create a new texture and replace the one we have used. If we do that then we introduce other issues into the scenery which are worse.

Until that bug is fixed we wont be changing it as we have no way to use our textures without introducing the normals rendering issue into the scenery. Its not a quick solve as the issue has been logged with Asobo for the past three sim updates since it was introduced.

Because of these reasons, I would forget about it for now and get on with flying around NZMF and some of the other bush airstrips around this massive area.

It has been noted and we will do something when we can and after they have sorted the normals issue out (which is holding up a whole bunch of other cool stuff)

     Hi 'HybridNZ'

I surely had deleted the Microsoft's NZMF, NZMJ , T004 and not hed Orbx NZ Mesh in the Community Folder, well some 3rd party libraries, could they be interferring?

    Best regards,

       Johnny

All 3rd party scenery for the area should be removed. The easiest way is to empty your community folder (and the WUNZ airports mentioned in the PDF while still leaving WUNZ installed) and start with just NZA NZMF and the NZA model library v5. Then you will see what it is supposed to look like.
You can go back through then and re-qualify your mods to ensure your doing things in a clean way. Most people forget the stuff they installed 2 years a go or other things that have snuck into their community folder.

The emptying your community folder approach should always be your first port of call if your having issues or it doesn't quite look right compared to the promo material.
We must admit a lot of people don't like to or wont do this for some reason. I'm not sure why as it short-cuts an answer pretty quickly.

Just make sure you have all conflicting scenery uninstalled form your community folder.

Any Old SDR NZMF, Old Orbx NZ Mesh and z-nzmf patch, WUNZ 12 NZMF, t004 and  NZMJ are also removed to stop any unwanted terraforming polygons from ruinining your experience.

This image shows some polygon isses on the back hill and I noticed your vegetation is also effected.

Awesome shots btw, Were absolutely loving the community shots around the place.

I tried a freeware NZA airport, (Motueka), but it was pulling FPS down from 38 to 22 FPS. So I uninstalled it.

I will try your deletion suggestion & try Motueka again. I like NZA's stuff, Raglan is a cracker.

Hi, We located a 'bug' in our model library which was causing NZMK - Motueka to tank on frames. We have since fixed this and you're welcome to download the 2.5 new model library from either Orbx or our website which will sort the issue out for you.

  6. What a great post, I must say I haven't seen a real photo shot like the one you took with Hobart with greener shades in the grass.

The ground texturing took myself around 4 months to recreate from scratch and the rest of the team that time on the detailing of all the surrounding roading network etc. We could of kept going but had to draw the line some where.

We are really humbled that everyone is really enjoying our work. Sometimes when you've been in the sim so long working on these things you just dont take the time to stop and take a look at what it is.

    cheers
