Tore Stranden
Hi, here are a few screenshots, which among other things shows the shape of the slightly curved runway. Do keep in mind that what you see on the screenshots are still WIP.

MustangAce
Wow! I am always amazed by how Orbx scenery always looks better and better, but you risk making your earlier amazing work "obsolete". How's that for a high class problem?

paddler
Just a quick question on spelling on the 4th picture. Is it "STOPP" or should it be "STOPPE"? I don't know the language but it sure got my curiosity up and when I goggled it came up with "STOPPE".

I don't know the language but it sure got my curiosity up and when I goggled it came up with "STOPPE". Hi, on signs, it's always STOPP. In some contexts, we say "stoppe". For example: are we going to "stoppe" at a gas station?

amentiba
Such a nice work in progress for some flights around mountains, fjords and ocean. Should i ask for a coverage thumb? Will there be Ankenes or Silsand ?
Tore Stranden
Ankenes and Silsand are included. simmerhead2
Just a quick question on spelling on the 4th picture. Is it "STOPP" or should it be "STOPPE"? I don't know the language but it sure got my curiosity up and when I goggled it came up with "STOPPE". "STOPPE" is the verb in infinitive form, while STOPP is imperative form (as used on the sign). Nirgal76
Does slopped runway mean no AI traffic ?
Bruce Hamilton
Correct, AI requires a flat runway. No traffic at Narvik.
rockola
For a "slightly" slopped runway like this, isnt'it possible to create a "fake" transparent runway which would allow AI ? Better have AI traffic floating 1ft over the ground than no AI traffic ? Just a question, I do not have any experience in scenery creation.
simmerhead2
IRL traffic is limited to three daily flights with Widerøe, so it's not a big deal. GA activity is quite low as well.
Guest
If you want, we can add mosquitos AI in summer
wolfko
Sumburgh has also got a sloped runway. There the control panel offers the option to switch between sloped (no AI) and not sloped (with AI traffic). Maybe this choice could be included into Narvik too? BTW, what is a „slopped“ runway? Bruce Hamilton
If "stop" can be spelled with two p's, so can "slope".

Nirgal76
I do hope these not-flat runways become a thing. +1 and i hope future evolution of P3D and FSX will allow AI traffic on these sloped runways. we should suggest this to their developpers. Anyway, this scenery has a wonderful sloped runway and i like that. very good job.
Bruce Hamilton
I think LM and Dovetail are well aware of AI not using sloped runways.
ThePilot777
Tore, Scenery developpment is you Hammer, THIS is the most realist scenery I've ever seen for FS. can't imagine how you do this (but I want to know, because I want to become developer), SO, Keep it up, and ask for Beta testing Greetings, Marc
Republic3D
I hope the sloped runways will be the standard. Almost no runways are entirely flat, and seeing the curve of the runway is part of what creates the real feeling. Great work Tore, I'm really looking forward to your releases.
