My FSX+Acceleration and Steam

Hi

I'm told I need to start a new topic so here goes

I tried installing my FSX Gold+Acceleration The first two discs installed ok but the Acceleration would not a message popped up stating I need The English vertion of the disc and then closed the program there for I have No Service packs for FSX on my computer The same goes for FSX Delux you cannot get the Service packs because as soon as you register and go to the FSX Home page All you get is Steam

Could some on please help me with this problem as I like others have £100s worth of products that I would like to presserve safley All my copies of FSX are legal

Are you trying to install FSX Gold, FSX Deluxe or FSX Steam Edition?

Probably best to stick with FSX-GOLD rather than the older FSX-Deluxe

 

I had this 'English version needed' issue myself a while back, the solution was (at my end)

 

1 - uninstall FSX and the servicepacks completely via add/remove programs

 

2 - download a free program called CCcleaner ( https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner) once installed...click the registry tab on the left and 'Scan for issues', once scanning is finished press the 'fix selected issues' button (it will prompt to backup the registry, its advisable to do so)

 

3 - reboot, then install the 3 x FSX-GOLD DVDs in order
