FTXCentral.exe and bullguard antivirus

Hi All,

After years without a problem running orbx software I received today a message from my bullguard antivrus program.

It said that it put the file FTXCentral.exe in quarantaine because it has been infected.

Infected object: FTXCentral.exe
Malware:  Trojan.Generic.11169836

I've tried to reinstall the latest orbxlibs file but received the same message.

Is there something I could do about this?

Thanks

Grt

Greetings,

This is happening quite a lot recently with other antivirus programs as well; returning a FALSE POSITIVE for the FTXCENTRAL.exe file.

I'm not familiar with bulldog, but you should be able to set the program so it will NOT scan the FSX or Prepar3D directories. Also, disable bulldog when you are installing a new Orbx product - that way it CAN'T flag it as a Trojan.

I believe that if you reinstall either a patch or orbxlib with bulldog disabled, you will get the FTXCENTRAL back to normal.

Respectfully,

Brian
