VH-KDK Posted November 28, 2013 Share Posted November 28, 2013 Taking a flight in Thailand from Chiang Mai to Bangkok's former main airport Don Mueang. Flying in a Boeing 747-3D7 in the old colours. 1. A bit slow climbing out of Chiang Mai, I think I should be above the buildings. 2. Heading for Bangkok. 3. Ban Sa Ha Khon with Chiang Mai beyond. 4. Really liked the old TG colours but the latest version just as good. 5. Near Ban Puang. 6. Bhumibol Dam, Tak Province. The Ping River flows from the dam. 7. Near Khanathi following the Ping River to Nakhon Sawan. 8. Familiar territory for me now at Nakhon Sawan. The large lake is Bung Boraphet. 9. Passing Takhli AFB with the town to the right. This is where I stay when I visit Thailand. 10. Great looking plane but only 2D cockpit. 11. Khu Kot is just to the north of Don Mueang. 12. Down on 21R. 13. The domestic terminal was full so had to park here. Used to like Don Mueang as the 918 bus to and from Takhli from stopped outside the airport.
