Following Interstate 15.

Don't know why, just picked an airport, U41 Dubois Municipal and headed north.

The road is interstate 15 which travels from the Canadian border to San Diego in California.

It is the fourth longest north south highway in the US.

Turning north after leaving Dubois Municipal which has an unsealed runway.

Signal Peak.

Lima Reservoir.

The town of Lima with Lima Peaks West in the background.

The town of Dell is hidden by the Invader but Dell Airstrip can be seen below it.

Clark Canyon Reservoir with Clark Canyon Bible Camp's buildings visible.

7.YHrCM.jpg

The town of Dillon with it's airport. The Blacktail Mountains are in view.

The Big Hole River comes down from the mountains.

Now into Montana and Interstate 15's junction with Interstate 90 where they run together for 8 miles

All straight vees with minimal cropping.

Hope you enjoy.

Much more fun in the air than on the ground , I have driven this road many times . These are all fantastic shots Martyn . When you were at the junction

of 90 and 15 you can make a right turn and go visit the "Pit" in Butte .

Cheers

Ha Ha. Look out for the second part of this flight.

Those are very interesting captures, super combination of this rarely seen plane and striking scenery. Number one and seven are my preferred, but number one is even stronger.

One of the first planes I tried to download for FSX but I did something wrong. Tried again on Sunday and BINGO. The Invader is one of my all time favourites.

That's a beautiful set, it gives a very good impression of the vast landscape underneath :)

Many thanks for the comments. Greatly appreciated.

Another beautyfully illustrated lessons in geography! Will you post the whole trip down to San Diego in episodes?
