VH-KDK Posted July 23, 2013 Share Posted July 23, 2013 The third and last of three posts including the Isles. They have a population of about 2200 with tourism being the major industry. Only 5 of the 55 islands are inhabited with St Mary's having the bulk of the population of 1600. The quickest link to the mainland is provided by the Isles of Scilly Skybus. They operate 4 Twin Otters and 3 Islanders and the airline is owned by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company who operate the ferry to and from the mainland. 1. Off from St Mary's for the last time. 2. Over Annet with St Agnus to the right. 3. Heading east over St Agnus. 4. St Mary's with the main population living in Hugh Town. 5. The largest island here is Tresco with Islands of Samson on the left and Bryher on the right. 6. Flying over St Martins. 7. Heading for the mainland leaving the Isles of Scilly behind.
