AirborneSTIG
That is a fantastic shot...and such a change of pace from British Columbia where I do all my flying lately. I've got a tough decision to make....SAK next? Or Australia? Or NZ?
Stillwater
Nice shot Alex. And good to read Weary Bay is worth the trip: I have just arrived (virtually) in Cooktown and will be jumping over to Weary Bay tomorrow. Maybe I´ll meet you?
alexf
I'm spending the night in Cooktown already. I had always flown from Cairns to Mareeba (my fav place in the area) and Cairns South. This time I tired North and found Weary. Lovely and interesting landing (but not that tough) due to the wind and those steep hills west of the rwy. That is a fantastic shot...and such a change of pace from British Columbia where I do all my flying lately. I've got a tough decision to make....SAK next? Or Australia? Or NZ? Stig. SAK is awesome but I do like Australia a lot. I have all of their regions and sceneries. If you want to limit yourself the east side is better, especially Queensland but all of it is good. You can start by trying the free Tasmania demo. There are lots (I mean lots) of free airfield and a few payware ones. You wouldn't believe the quality of the free ones (thanks Ants!). Try places like Lillidale, Boonah, Mareeba, Aeropelican, YRED and a few other great ones. Lovely sceneries. England and Wales come next in my scale (ok Misty is great too). I would say that after PNW, eastern and southern Australia are my 2nd fav,.
