ramonb
Hello I found this over at KORS Orcas., it is similar to what is being reported over at Bella Coola cybd runway flickering and shimmering I got KORS a couple months ago and been flying there quite a lot. As I recall, this did not happen before. (In either one) Only new stuff are a couple ORBX Airports, SAK and newest ORBX Libs. (England and Wales currently not installed) All Updates applied and KORS is version 1.1.5 Here is a movie I made to show the problem. Please see KORS Orcas Island Flicker & Shimmer Cheers
GlennH
Happens if you directly overfly the airport at certain altitudes. Been discussed before. Limitation of FSX engine with ground polys.
ramonb
Hello I know it's been discussed before, but is is quite annoying. Edit by me, removed another movie link, further tests needed. It is much less obvious on other custom airports (S45, KCMW) so there must be a way..... Cheers.
rooby007
I totally agree - and glad (in a way) to see I'm not the only person with this issue. I was beginning to think I was going mad. My experience around the airfield is significantly affected by this glitch. I really think it needs to be escalated as this scenery isn't cheap! My story so far: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/57751-flashing-ftx-runways-anacortes-orcas-bella-coola/
jjjallen
It looks like the system used to make the video has other issues as FSX does not appear to be smooth. I have never seen this issue over CYBD. Regards jja
