Never hurts to ask -- though clearly Cardiff is a much smaller airport that those that I named. So maybe not a good analogy in terms of the work required.

Maybe in the next week or two we'll have some first screenshots to admire? Or, no?

Here is the Forth Bridge...

Now THAT's something that I want to see in FSX. My great-grandfather was an engineer and involved in the bridge's construction... I even have a little medal made from the iron that they used.

The model certainly looks fantastic.

Cheers

I also have a past association with the Forth road bridge..

i got absolutely paralytic in the pub underneath it,have vague memories of lying in the road under the bridge looking up at it and thinking ..Help

still makes me wince when i think of the Hangover.

A beautiful Scottish memory. As a little boy, I tossed a penny, sometime a ha'penny even a farthing from the train window each time we crossed.

As an Edinburgh resident for 38 years - wow, simply wow...

Would love to see the following beautifully modelled within Edinburgh (and can hope that these will be!):

- Holyrood Palace*

- Edinburgh Castle (with landable esplanade)*

- Scott Monument

- Scottish Parliament

- Royal Scottish Academy

- National Gallery

- St. Giles

- Tron Kirk

- Royal Mile

- Waverley Station

- Balmoral Hotel

- Calton Hill

*These two surely will...

I realise those are a hefty wishlist but these are iconic landmarks within the city and would provide great eye candy for GA flyers doing a tour over the city.

Time to deactivate scot flight soon!

Think I can name most of them, and been to, on, over many of them!

I hope the Ballachulish bridge is modelled so we can fly under it like the guy who done it a few years ago and got into a wee bit of trouble!

Would a model of Steve under the Forth Bridge be possible?,,,,,Maybe in inebriated flow. Second thoughts it could be static.

I was static for a few days after..Phew

Here you go, the Scotland POIs ...

Looks fab John, thanks!

Easter Road Stadium (the one over at the right) looks a bit different to the model there as the lower stand has been replaced by one of equal height to the one opposite - perhaps one for a service pack.

Wonderful stuff!

Is there a chance that you are including Murray's Monument? :D

When you're flying over Cairnsmore of Fleet it gives you a great reference point; especially as it's close to Clatteringshaws Loch.

You'll see screenshots when we have something to show.

SCO will feature a photoreal downtown Edinburgh as the "sweetener". Lots of POI models from 29Palms are already done and look great!

Here is the Forth Bridge...

Will you light them up at night?

Perhaps you can add "Smell-Flow" and all the fine distilleries... ;-)

not a bad Idea.. Orbx could sponsor me to travel round all the distilleries taking pictures so they could be modeled into the sim.

of course I might need a wee dram or too to sustain the journey Posted Image
